Title: Two Boats | Submitted by: cmh502 | Written by: Chris H | Style: None

the two boats moved fairly down the canal
gracefully, water calm and rewarding at the same time
the sails have taken flight
not a gust of wind to strong for this old man, the young reflective
cool in the summer, hot in the winter
the boats pushed on
dare not cross the finish line, for it will bring you back to start
the sun settles as the moon retreats
have you tried this route, it looks so cheap?
fight your sickness, you've lost the war
the wine bottles cooled on the dining room floor
remain at your wheel captain, I see land ahead
or is it a mirage? I so lay in bed...
