Title: Quality | Submitted by: dswain | Written by: Doug Swain | Style: Inward

There's always a quality to just about everything I pass through
Quality of the air, quality of the grass and a quality of the feeling
Whether it's truly your own or the posession of an imposter
Quality, seems to ride the high tide in life

There's also a quality of just trying to get by on the day-to-day
Quality of the fashion, quality of the lifestyles, and quality of your perspective
When the day-to-day went from obvious to a sudden different
Quality, it took on a whole new meaning

As the wheel turns, we all try and recall, a little bit, how sweet it was.
The simplicity, straightforwardness, and the ease of mind handed to us
And we all take quality in most certainly new paths
Through a cloud of smoke, the running of fluids in and out, whatever it takes
Another fix, just another fix, through another night

But, my times have changed recently, and have grown into something brand new
Quality, it seems, is within me already and waiting to happen
By the ways of ease, the sound of silence, quietness is the true friend
Quality, isn't an object, it's a way of being, low or high

Patients, clarity, and focus, it seems
Quality is made of these ways, not of those things
Pretending I'm close to finished is an honest lie
Perhaps I'm on my way, as should be
Perhaps we can all take some time and make sure we really redefine
Quality
