Watch by night, on this great wonderful sunny day.
The crow stands over his prey.

An awkward stance, at that.
It seems as if no other animal could be this way

He stands with a somber stare
Guardian of all dispare

Could this have been done by the creature,
Or could this have been done by other means?

And again, I pass by his land mark
Still strong, silent, and unwilling to move.

His dark complexion leaves a person only to wonder.
The ways in which we got here today.
