Title: Drinking Game | Submitted by: thephonescaresme | Written by: Sean Reardon | Style: Elegy

You were full of such joy,
Without a care in the world

Never ever ignorant
To the world you inhabited

A collector of many scars
A keeper of abusive secrets

The intoxicating glass prison
Lead to your demise

I wallow in my own
Self-centered and selfish pride

I never really knew the damage
These tiny hands could do

A slowing pulse turn to monotone
“Clear” “She’s gone” “Clock it”

Breathless lungs and a beat-less heart
Echo still in my conscience

This haunting presence
Dwindles in my mind

Here without you, and I to blame
An innocent victim of my drinking game
