Title: Let Them Bloom | Submitted by: dswain | Written by: Doug Swain | Style: Pastoral

Let them bloom
Let them grow
These flowers change
They come, and they go.

A walk to remember
A scent like no other
The paths, fields, woods and trails
They seem to never change
But manage to change me

Up and down
Forward and back
Left and right
Whichever way its pleasure tends* really

This is the nature of nature
And ten years of time
Stands as a test to the lack of change
Yet all of the change
Which I try and think of as me.

A rabbit dashes across the street
As a midnight moon ignites the ground
I sometimes wonder
How much different I am

Everything, all alive
Human, rodent, plant
We're not all so much different
We sit in the sands of time
And wait to see these changes
If mother earth chooses to bring them

A thing, I'll never understand.
