Title: Valentines Day Parade | Submitted by: dswain | Written by: Doug Swain | Style: Free Form

So Valentines Day, won't you be my valentine?
Guess what I got you this year?
The largest, most superb, and most certainly alluring
Gift you've got in years!

Hundreds of ukelele players
dressed in heart-shaped costumes playing Beatles covers,
Thousand of lab puppies
painted in bright red with compassion drooling out their mouth and
Millions of boxes of candy
of all shapes and kinds; I know you like variety!
Billions of roses
that string behind like a velvet carpet
Along with hundreds and thousands and millions and billions in parade
for the love and hate of you, Valentines Day.
Don't forget this poem too!

I figured you deserved it, Valentines Day.
To make up for all of your forgotten and discarded years.
Too hated to be loved by the souls whole see nothing in you
And too loved to ever be considered more than superficial
Nobody ever considered how you might feel, Valentines Day.
And you're as good a date as any, maybe even better!

So Valentines Day, won't you be my valentine?
